Spring Global Warming Series: Society of Friends, Berkeley, CA

WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING?

The Environment committee at Berkeley Friends Meeting is sponsoring a series of talks by Karen Street on climate change and what we can do about it. The series will run on 1st Sundays of the month beginning March 4 after meeting for worship, starting at 1 p.m. at the meeting house 2151 Vine Street in Berkeley, CA. Note that Session V is on a 3rd Sunday.

SESSION I: CLIMATE CHANGE AND FRIENDS March 4th, 2007

SESSION II: HOW WE MAKE CHOICES April 1st, 2007

SESSION III: OUR OWN CARBON EMISSIONS May 6th, 2007

SESSION IV: TECHNOLOGY AND POLICY June 3rd, 2007

SESSION V: NUCLEAR POWER IN TODAY'S WORLD June 17th, 2007

This series is for everyone, including teens and young adults. The Committee will provide child care, coordinated by Biliana Stremska, 653-2803 or 978-1267.

Friends from other meetings are also invited to attend this series. If you need hospitality to attend any of these sessions, please let Biliana or another member of the committee know.
